Test Engineering Manager

That’s the task of a software Test Engineering Manager at Google where you will be building, leading, and managing a team of SETs (Software Engineers in Test) and SQAEs (Software QA Engineers), while working with our development teams and product management staff to release some of the most scalable and innovative products.
We’re looking for a highly technical engineering manager who has a strong background in software engineering, testing, and automation to drive the overall planning, execution, tracking, and delivery of projects.
The role requires strong candidates who have one or more of the following:
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with a variety of test automation tools.
- Industry experience coding in C/C++, Java, and/or Python.
- Industry experience in testing large scale enterprise products.
- Industry experience in Internet technologies, protocols, and application delivery.
- Industry experience in SQL and relational databases.
- Proven track record in growing highly technical testing teams.
- Diverse interests and a passion for technology.
Responsibilities:
- Building and managing a Test Engineering team to meet the needs of the products being developed.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent.
- High technical competence, track record of strong coding and technical accomplishment.
- Strong development and test management experience.
- Experience in test frameworks and in test automation.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proven track record for high quality product delivery.
- Able to mentor junior members, give technical advice and direction, and provide hands-on management.
- Knowledge of various testing techniques and approaches.
- Driven, creative, and result oriented.
