Technology Operations Manager
Job Description:
- Manages/oversees corporate and/or national technology operations.
- Collaborates with other technology managers on strategic planning of technology operations.
- Provides leadership and technical expertise to district level staff on technology issues.
- Assigns and delegates district responsibilities to other Technology Managers at the corporate or district level; monitors activities and manages their performance.
- Updates the CIO or designee on Technology operation initiatives and issues.
- Analyzes, forecasts, reviews and monitors technology budgets.
- Communicates regularly with technical and administrative managers throughout the region to assess needs and analyze and solve problems.
- Researches new products and leads the implementation of new applications throughout the country.
- Ensures that all Technology Policies, Practices and Procedures are updated (as needed) and being adhered to nationwide.
- Has responsibility for specialized area(s) within Technology Operations, such as: Active Directory Administration, Operating Systems Management, Messaging Services, Communications, Technology Procurement, Systems Administration, Technology R&D, Quality Assurance/Compliance, and Project Management. Managers at the Sr. Manager I (E15) level will have responsibility for at least two (2) specialized areas.
- May perform such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science and ten years of applicable experience; seven or more of these years in PC support and at least five years in network/system administration. Five years in a supervisory/management role.
