Sr. Manager, Messaging Technologies

Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Global Development Messaging Technologies will provide thought leadership to the Public Affairs and Communication organization in defining Information Technology capabilities to enable the 3-year – and annual business plans in the areas of Video deployment and enhancement, Mobile enablement of executive messages, SMS text messaging, RSS Really Simple Syndication subscription, audio and web conferencing, Instant Messaging (IM) technologies and traditional email messaging.

S/he works with the deployment leads to ensure functional business requirements are incorporated in the mid- & long-term technology solutions roadmap. Also, responsible for building, leading, supporting and developing the team that is responsible for deploying messaging technology solutions widely and deeply within CCE.

Job Responsibilities

Provide technical consultative skills in the area of messaging technologies for CCE’s business in order to initiate solutions which will provide CCE with a differentiation in the market place. Educate business leaders with a specific focus on messaging technologies in addition to knowledge of other best in class solutions to provide an expert opinion on technology solutions in support of the Human Resources business function at CCE.

Drive alignment of the messaging technologies suite of applications solution road map with the BIS mid- & long-term solution roadmap. Ensure that the roadmap incorporates the 3-year and annual business plans created by the Finance business partners.

Work with the internal BIS leadership within application architecture, infrastructure, and governance to ensure alignment across CCE in terms of business processes and technology solutions to support the Finance space.

Personally manage and coach staff to project-manage the full life cycle of the projects following the standard Development Life Cycle process (planning – analysis design construction testing implementation – handover to support).

Provide personal leadership in developing cross functional relationships both within the BIS organization and with our business partners.

Ensure a sound and consistent process to convert bundled solutions to local requirements to facilitate an effective and efficient deployment and hand-over to support.

Provide Account Management services to the BIS deployment leads, providing input and leadership regarding the deployment and utilization of CCE’s messaging technology suite.

Continually assess the overall resource requirements for the messaging technologies suite of applications using both internal and external resources.

Act as a technical and functional resource for the group in the area of messaging technology suite of applications teaching technical discipline to staff throughout the division/region.

Responsible for coaching, developing and encouraging excellence from a diverse team. Conduct performance evaluations, development planning, and TMR/Succession Planning for direct reports.

Establish and maintain internal and external contacts to leverage industry best practices. Maintains currency with professional organizations and publications. Attends and participates in meetings and conferences as a representative of CCE.

Develop relationships with strategic technology partners to influence vendor development in support of CCE business requirements within core systems.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education and experience

EDUCATION PREFERRED

Masters degree in business, management, or industry-related curriculum

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

A proven track record of high performance with a minimum of 5 years of increasing technical and managerial responsibility.

An in-depth understanding and mastery of the capabilities of the major messaging platforms including Exchange and Lotus Notes, SMS, RSS and Unified Communications.

Demonstrated effective communication, project management, change management, facilitation, conflict resolution, analysis, and influencing, consultative skills, visionary and strategic thinking skills.

A proven track record in building high performance teams.

Comprehensive understanding of Information Technology methodologies, infrastructure, and architecture. Overall knowledge of total CCE software application portfolio.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

5+ years of work experience in the areas of Information Systems.

Leadership experience with multi-functional IS staff, including contractors and outside services.

Must be able to assimilate information and make sound business decisions.

Must be experienced in budgeting resources, technology, and evaluating return on investment.

Proven experience in software development and systems integration.
