Medical Director, Corporate Health
Job Description:
Take Care Health Systems is an innovative organization that provides the American workforce with the benefits of improved wellness and preventive care. We operate on-site employee healthcare programs, clinics and fitness centers for some of the country’s largest corporations and federal agencies.
We are seeking a Collaborative Physician for our Corporate Healthcare center in Plano, Texas.
Provide and assure that patients receive appropriate exams,and care, as well as other medical care that is appropriate in the ambulatory care setting for an adult population
Collaborates with Nurse Practitioner
Assure that referrals are made in a timely manner to out-of-center specialists or other providers when medically necessary
Assure the patient’s treatment is monitored and coordinated in concert with the nurse practitioner or lead clinician resulting in case management of care in the ambulatory setting
Assure the documentation as represented in the medical records meets established standards of documentation
Assume a medical leadership role in medical emergencies in the center including the initiation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, stabilization and transfer to an appropriate community provider as necessary
Requests consultations with the Take Care Health Systems Regional
Work cooperatively with the other members of the medical center management team to assure efficient and quality medical center operations
Assist the office and clinical management in responding to patient concerns about medical care issues, including investigating patient complaints and completing incident reports
Assure that patient rights to privacy and confidentiality are strictly maintained Other duties appropriate and necessary to the efficient operation of the medical center
Requirements Education and/or Experience:
Graduate of an accredited medical school; at least five years of post-residency clinical experience in an ambulatory care, or emergency room setting; at least three years experience managing an ambulatory care, emergency med, or urgent care clinic.
Licensed to practice medicine in the state; must be Board Certified in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine or Board Eligible in aforementioned practice areas. If Board Eligible, must take certification exam within twelve months of date of hire.
Must have current state and federal DEA certification. Must have current certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required. Medical Review Officer (MRO) Certification is a plus!
