Information Technology Manager
Job Description:
The Information Technology Department at Alameda County is looking for a talented individual to lead a group of application developers in the development and maintenance of business applications to meet the needs of County agencies. The successful candidate will act as a liaison with top County management and information technology staff to assess, plan and deliver business solutions to a full range of customers (public protection, health care, general government, etc.)
Requirements:
Requires 5+ years of increasingly responsible experience in system analysis and development including 3+ years direct supervisory experience. Excellent project management, communication, organizational and budgetary skills. The ability to plan, organize, manage and evaluate staff and communicate group activities and project vision effectively.
This position requires strong knowledge of: principles and practices of management necessary to plan, organize and direct technical projects; principles and techniques of business analysis and application development. Strong technical background with proven ability to develop and maintain complex business applications. Ability to analyze, prioritize and make effective use of technology and methods in support of County efforts to streamline and automate operations and enable public and employee self service access to information and services.
