Position Overview

This leadership position will be responsible for leading and building a new team to create and execute against a new digital communications strategy for J. P. Morgan Funds to include the integration of our direct marketing communications, advertising and the connection and engagement strategy for our web site and applicable social media..

Specifically, this individual will develop and make strategic recommendations based on their career experiences and key business objectives to; drive greater awareness of funds platform and its products, create engagement strategies for advisors and align appropriate on-going contact strategy i.e. wholesale, hybrid or pipeline (direct marketing). This position will also be responsible for driving the vision for our desired online user experience and the content strategy for jpmorganfunds.com, working closely with the web team in Marketing Services, who will manage the content and technical development.

This role is expected to play an integral role in helping Funds Management build its brand in the retail mutual fund market-place by driving the advertising strategy for the group to ensure we achieve our sales and market share targets. This new position will report to the head of Marketing & Strategy for Funds Management and its head will need to focus on building sustainable practices and relationships in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities:

* Define the business vision, objectives and targets by vehicle for our digital expansion.

* Build a ‘user experience model’ for digital / web media and develop a content strategy that is integrated with the overall marketing agenda.

* Develop and execute the rollout of our digital direct marketing initiative, which is integrated with the strategies above and which leverages our business intelligence.

* Developing budgets, staffing requirements for a 3 year build-out and ensuring results are monitored, providing status reports to management, and incorporating feedback from colleagues, management and clients .

* Create an advertising strategy to leverage / compliment work already underway and demonstrate success of campaigns through both print and digital media, through rigourous monitoring and measurement.

* Work closely with web site analysts to understand the impact of all marketing activities and to understand rates for new activities

* Stay current on changes in the online marketing environment to best service the objectives of the company and adjusts plans accordingly, be the subject matter expert for all digital and social media.

Qualifications

The candidate will have:

* Proven results and demonstrated sustainable achievement in a competitive environment with aggressive deadlines

* Demonstrated skills in delivery of innovative digital strategies, action-oriented plans, and be the voice of the client for client interaction activity.

* Ability to learn and demonstrate industry and product knowledge by understanding the competition, the client and marketplace

* Proven ability to plan and execute web marketing plans that drive sales results

* Proven track record of setting aggressive goals and delivering results within a team structure

* Proven ability to build strong partnerships and leverage both internal and external resources

Additional qualifications:

* 10 to 12 years of experience in marketing with atleast 5 years of experience in managing the web marketing plans

* Bachelor’s degree in a business, marketing or technical field; courses in computer science, engineering and business management are helpful

* Excellent project management skills; ability to plan, manage, and execute on simultaneous projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment; must be able to drive project, debate merits of approach and collaborate effectively with others.

* Demonstrated ability to apply the fundamental business management skills with a knowledge of best practices of web marketing

* Excellent relationship management skills, especially customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communications

* Ability to work effectively in a leadership position by leading, motivating and developing others using partnership and collaboration skills across multiple teams

* Demonstrated ability to define key success metrics for all online projects, incorporating measurable business objectives, revenue optimization and customer experience best practices

* Demonstrated expertise in online best practices or marketing strategies and concepts and customer experience

* Ability to travel (about 25%)
