We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director, Technology located in San Jose, CA.

Purpose:

The Director of Technology will work with architects, Manufacturing Operations Management, Product Managers and other functional leaders, will be responsible for leading a team of different functional Sr Managers involved in Design and Development activities in order to meet customers requirements from development of conceptual prototypes and architecture through development into full-scale production.

Principle Accountabilities:

The Director, Technology will:

· Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through several senior Design & Development engineering leaders involved in activities such as designing, developing, modifying and evaluating integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and systems.

· Organize and lead a number of functional reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications.

· Ensure life cycle engineering, management and customer support activities are performed as per defined processes and standards.

· Partner with Operations leaders to ensure design & development activities are well integrated with manufacturing operations including the use of Design for Manufacturability principles.

· Provide guidance and feedback to subordinate leaders to ensure achievement of goals and objectives.

· Plan, budget, and manage the Engineering & Design group costs in line with Corporate objectives.

· Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

Requirements:

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field. Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in image sensors and optical systems. Experience in opto-mechanical solutions will be preferred. Candidate should be a self starter and willing to convert ideas to product concept.
