Summary of Responsibilities:
This leader is accountable for creating MetLife’s U.S. advertising strategy and managing all aspects of development and execution. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, prioritizing marketing messages and target consumer segments; constructing creative input briefs; managing relationships with key internal clients/marketing managers and agencies; developing strategies for an optimized advertising mix with both traditional and non-traditional vehicles; overseeing creative development, production and budgeting; and establishing plans for most advantageous media buy that delivers against the target. As such, this leader develops and executes advertising programs to meet the business objectives of MetLife’s domestic revenue generating businesses as well as the communications objectives of MetLife’s corporate image campaigns.
This position ensures that all domestic advertising efforts work in concert with other marketing vehicles and properties – promotions, sports and event marketing, MetLife blimp, Life Advice and MetLife.com – for highest impact. This position is responsible for coordinating with senior marketing management to develop and execute advertising strategies in support of both LOB marketing plans and product marketing goals. This leader is also responsible for measuring the results generated by MetLife’s consumer advertising efforts and managing the return on investment of such efforts to the company.
Advertising efforts at MetLife target numerous audiences including general market and multicultural consumers, employers of all sizes and their employees (ranging from 2 employees to over 2 million employees), CFOs, plan sponsors, benefits brokers and consultants, agents, producers,
