Director Development Process and Systems
Job Description:
Oversees and directs the efforts of the product development process and systems globally. Generate reports to assist Sr. Management in the measurement of key goals and objectives ranging in scope from individual product development efforts to portfolio management efforts. Work to continuously improving our processes and systems globally to support business objectives and growth strategies.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Create strategic direction to Process Management team who oversee the product development processes and systems.
- Review and revive current product development process to encompass CS to GDQ that will effectively and efficiently align the organization across categories, functions and geography.
- Maintain integrity of development process throughout the organization via common documentation, language, reporting, etc.
- Work with CMO, GDO and GBL’s to identify key metrics to track and measure performance utilizing the development process and new or existing systems
- Work with IT, to identify and establish systems that measure performance of key metrics, such as On-Time Delivery, Development Time, Portfolio Management, Resource Management, etc. ensuring the linkage with existing Hasbro systems
- Generate a variety of reports that are beneficial, consistent, accurate and actionable from single product development efforts to portfolio management.
- Champions the continuous improvement of global development processes by consulting with key stakeholders
- Work with Concept Management team to refine and implement a front end process for all Design teams
- Work with Adaptation PM’s, Global Ops, Int’l Marketing and GBL’s, establish and implement an Adaptations process
- Document process and working with Project Management and development teams ensure that process is being adhered to.
- Maintains awareness of emerging trends/technologies/systems, recognizes and recommends integration into product development process/systems.
- Mentor and implement individual and departmental development plans to further grow the skill set required to keep up with the evolving and changing market.
- Anticipate and recommend organizational changes as required to meet the changing business environment
- Trains new employees in the Product Development Process, specifically those directly involved in new product development.

Ability to clearly define and articulate measurable performance expectations for department.
Education:
BA or BS in business or technical area required, as well as 6 plus years experience with developing and implementing product development processes and systems, ideal if experience is within the design and/or manufacture of consumer products. Managerial experience as must. MBA preferred.
